Quality Operations Specialist, Intern

About the role#

The Quality Operations Specialist intern will join the Corrective Action Program (CAP) & SIF Investigations team. This role focuses on performing detailed investigations, analyzing adverse trends, and developing quality management systems to ensure effective process improvement. You will work within a hybrid environment to support Electric Operations, Engineering, and Utility Operations teams.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve moderate and complex escalated issues.
• Identify and analyze existing business processes to implement improvements that meet new objectives.
• Review failure data and conduct trend analysis to provide recommendations for system performance.
• Verify that corrective actions are implemented and validate their effectiveness to prevent future issues.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline at an accredited university.
• Must be continuing education toward your degree during or after the internship.
• Minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0.
• Experience in analysis, metrics, reporting, project management, engineering, or construction.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Foundry, and SAP applications, as well as Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.

• Locations: Oakland, Fresno, or Sacramento, California.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Modality: Hybrid, with in-person attendance required approximately once per week or as needed.
• Status: Paid, full-time internship.
