About the role#
The Quality Operations Specialist Intern joins the Corrective Action Program (CAP) & SIF Investigations team. This team conducts detailed investigations, performs trend analysis, and develops quality management systems to improve process performance across Electric Operations, Engineering, and Power Generation. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve moderate and complex issues.
- Identify, analyze, and improve existing business processes to meet departmental goals.
- Review failure data and perform trend analysis to recommend improvements for system performance.
- Verify that corrective actions are implemented and validate their effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline at an accredited university.
- Must be continuing education toward a degree during or after the internship.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative and major GPA.
- Experience in analysis, metrics, reporting, project management, engineering, construction, or a related analytical or regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Foundry, and SAP applications.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Location & details#
- This role is based in Oakland, Fresno, or Sacramento, California.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-person attendance approximately once per week or as business needs dictate.
