About the role#
The Project Management Intern will support the Compliance Excellence department by assisting with the coordination, tracking, and organization of compliance initiatives. This role provides exposure to how regulatory compliance programs are managed within a large, regulated utility environment. Interns will work closely with leadership to support project coordination, documentation, and reporting activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning, tracking, and maintaining department-wide training, certification, and conference milestones.
- Support the organization and maintenance of compliance documentation and SharePoint file structures.
- Coordinate cross-team communications by gathering input and status updates from internal stakeholders.
- Prepare summaries, trackers, and reports to support leadership updates and decision-making.
- Learn and apply project management principles, including scope definition, timeline tracking, and risk identification.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Experience with document management, trackers, or coordination tools.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
