Procurement Excellence Center Intern

About the role#

The Procurement Excellence Center (PEC) at Pacific Gas and Electric Company focuses on driving procurement transformation, operational efficiency, and value creation. This internship offers exposure to market intelligence, digital procurement transformation, and performance management. You will work within a team that establishes best practices and leverages data to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

What you'll do#

• Conduct research and analyze data to support procurement initiatives and performance measurement.
• Assist with Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Operating Reviews by tracking metrics, validating inputs, and preparing summaries and visuals for leadership.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by gathering baseline data and tracking results.
• Organize and maintain SharePoint sites and document repositories to ensure accessibility and version control.
• Prepare materials for leadership meetings, training sessions, and team communications.
• Develop white papers, reference materials, and policy documentation to support procurement strategies.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Must be continuing education towards a degree during or after the internship term.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative and major GPA.
• Familiarity with LEAN system methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Location: Oakland, California.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Work Modality: Hybrid.
• Compensation: $20.88 to $36.42 per hour.
