About the role#
The Engineering Assistant Intern supports the Substation Engineering and Design team. This role serves as a key contributor to engineering records and project processes, working closely with leadership to drive project results. This is a full-time, paid summer 2026 internship.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team on ongoing issues, projects, and activities.
- Assist with the implementation of project and program initiatives.
- Create technical reports and develop business cases.
- Prepare professional documentation including letters, forms, meeting summaries, presentations, and memorandums using established formats.
- Develop data metrics, identify data attributes, and document data sources and methodologies.
- Perform data analysis, build models, and present findings to generate actionable insights.
- Support regulatory compliance activities and maintain data in tracking systems.
- Manage drawing searches, inventory compilation, and equipment specification information.
- Update the SAP asset registry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program at an accredited university in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics.
- Commitment to continuing education during or after the internship term.
- Strong preference for candidates with previous data or analytics experience.

- This position is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office.
- Office locations include West Sacramento, California, or Oakland, California.
