About the role#
The Visual Management & Insight Services team supports Electric Risk & Compliance by automating reporting and analytical workflows. You will focus on reducing manual effort and improving the consistency of data insights using the Microsoft Power Platform. This position is a Summer 2026 internship based in Oakland, California.
What you'll do#
- Identify manual and repetitive analytical or reporting tasks within Electric Risk & Compliance.
- Design and build Power Automate flows to trigger recurring data refreshes and analysis.
- Automate notifications, reminders, and status updates.
- Analyze Electric Risk & Compliance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities using AI.
- Translate analytical findings into concise insights that can be operationalized or automated.
- Document automated workflows and underlying logic to ensure long-term sustainment.
- Use Power BI and Power Query to support automated data preparation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to explain automated solutions and reporting needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electric Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
- You must be continuing your education toward your degree during or after the internship.
- Hands-on experience or coursework with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate workflow design.
- A strong interest in automation, process improvement, and scalable analytics.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
