    About the role#

    The Data Analysis, Insights & Automation Intern joins the Visual Management & Insight Services team to support Electric Risk & Compliance. This role focuses on streamlining analytical workflows by replacing manual, repetitive tasks with automated solutions. You will work within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem to improve the reliability, consistency, and timeliness of data-driven insights.

    What you'll do#

    • Identify manual and repetitive analytical or reporting tasks within Electric Risk & Compliance.
    • Design and build Power Automate flows to trigger recurring data refreshes, automate notifications, and manage status updates.
    • Move and structure data between systems to standardize reporting outputs.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities using AI-enabled tools.
    • Translate analytical findings into concise, actionable insights that can be operationalized.
    • Document workflows, logic, and dependencies to ensure long-term sustainment.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to explain automated solutions and ensure outputs meet business needs.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electric Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
    • Must be continuing education toward a degree during or after the internship.
    • Strong interest in automation, process improvement, and scalable analytics.
    • Hands-on experience or coursework with the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate (workflow design, triggers, actions).
    • Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and communicate technical processes to non-technical audiences.

    • Work Modality: Hybrid.
    • Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
