    About the role#

    The Data Analysis, Insights & Automation Intern joins the Visual Management & Insight Services team to support Electric Risk & Compliance. This role focuses on reducing manual effort and improving the consistency of reporting by leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform. You will work alongside analysts and stakeholders to identify repetitive tasks and build automated workflows that support decision-making in a regulated utility environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Identify manual and repetitive analytical or reporting tasks within Electric Risk & Compliance.
    • Design and build Power Automate flows to trigger recurring data refreshes, automate notifications, and structure data between systems.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, including the use of AI-enabled tools.
    • Use Power BI and Power Query to support automated data preparation and analysis.
    • Document automated workflows, underlying logic, and dependencies to ensure long-term sustainment.
    • Partner with stakeholders to explain automated solutions and ensure outputs align with reporting needs.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics at an accredited university.
    • Must be continuing education towards a degree during or after the internship.
    • Hands-on experience or coursework with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Apps.
    • Strong interest in automation, process improvement, and scalable analytics.
    • Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
    • Reliable transportation to and from the work location.

    • Compensation: $20.88 – $36.42 per hour, depending on skills, education, and location.
