About the role#
The Data Analysis, Insights & Automation Intern joins the Visual Management & Insight Services team to support Electric Risk & Compliance. This role focuses on replacing manual, repetitive reporting tasks with automated workflows using the Microsoft Power Platform. You will work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, improve the timeliness of data insights, and apply AI-enabled techniques to streamline analytical processes.
What you'll do#
- Identify manual and repetitive analytical or reporting tasks within Electric Risk & Compliance.
- Design and build Power Automate flows to trigger recurring data refreshes, automate notifications, and structure data between systems.
- Analyze Electric Risk & Compliance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities using AI tools.
- Use Power BI and Power Query to support automated data preparation and analysis.
- Partner with team members to understand where automation adds value and explain automated solutions to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Document automated workflows and underlying logic to ensure long-term sustainment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Must be continuing education towards a degree during or after the Summer 2026 term.
- Hands-on experience or coursework with the Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Query.
- Strong interest in automation, process improvement, and scalable analytics.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical findings to various stakeholders.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
