About the role#
The oMA Student Assistant provides administrative support to the department. You will handle clerical tasks, assist with department projects, and support guest speakers and visitors. This role requires the ability to work independently and maintain discretion when handling confidential information.
What you'll do#
- Manage content creation and promotional materials.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties.
- Assist with various department projects as assigned.
- Support guest speakers and visitors with a professional and patient approach.
What you'll need#
- Federal Work Study Funds are required for this position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with design software like Canva, Photoshop, or Adobe Express.
- Skills in social media platforms and tools such as CapCut, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and a customer service mindset.
- Experience with Mailchimp and newsletter creation is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the school term and up to 35 hours per week during breaks, as determined with your supervisor.
- Term: Rolling.
