About the role#
This is a 12-week internship based at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant during the summer of 2027. You will work alongside technical specialists on projects that provide hands-on experience with production issues. Successful participants may be considered for future internships or full-time roles in our Operations Leadership Development Programs after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Lead projects focused on safety, process improvement, and product quality.
- Drive productivity increases and waste elimination efforts.
- Apply Total Productive Maintenance principles to manufacturing workflows.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems related to designs, materials, and processes.
- Use data and analytics to inform your decisions.
- Lead teams and communicate to improve performance.
- Build your technical expertise while maintaining a customer-driven focus.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated leadership in social, professional, or service organizations.
- A willingness and flexibility to relocate for the assignment.
- Initiative to drive results and a desire to grow your technical and leadership skills.
