About the role#
Ovintiv is seeking a student to join the Land Administration team for a summer internship. You will gain practical experience in managing land data, mineral and royalty ownership, and contractual support. This role provides a foundation of knowledge through experiential training and hands-on projects, working alongside an experienced mentor to deliver meaningful contributions to the team.
What you'll do#
- Support the Land Administration team with daily operations.
- Manage land data and mineral and royalty ownership records.
- Provide contractual support and assist with lease administration.
- Perform ownership analysis and ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Research and resolve operational, ownership, and contract matters.
- Complete an assigned project and other tasks to build your professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Energy Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Status as a full-time student through December 2027.
- Availability to work from May 3 to August 19, 2027.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, strategic approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Experience with Quorum Land Suite, Microsoft PowerBI, and TIBCO Spotfire is preferred.

- Compensation: $21.63 - $27.88 per hour, determined by year in school.
