About the role#
This 12-month internship position is based in the Calgary office within the Information Services Unit. You will join the business exploration team to help investigate new ways to solve business problems. The role involves hands-on work with technology and collaboration across the department.
What you'll do#
- Participate in business exploration workshops and support prototyping activities.
- Investigate novel approaches to solving business problems.
- Complete a project and present your outcomes or learnings.
- Support daily team activities using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, and Microsoft Office.
- Follow Pembina Life Saving Rules and support the Zero by Choice safety culture.
- Demonstrate company values including being safe, trustworthy, respectful, collaborative, and entrepreneurial.
- Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with a plan to return to school after the work term.
- A field of study in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
- Experience solving business problems using AI platforms like GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Claude.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in front of people.
- Natural curiosity to solve problems.
- Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, including a criminal record check.
