About the role#
Pembina Pipeline Corporation is hiring Tax Interns for our Calgary office. This role sits within the Tax Service Unit, which manages tax risks and opportunities to support our business strategy. You will be matched with either the Income Tax or Property Tax team based on your skills and interests. This is a full-time, 4-month contract for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns.
- Assist with responses to tax audits.
- Support the annual property tax payment process, including data capture and updating municipal bylaw information.
- Maintain schedules for tax pools and tax basis information.
- Complete a project and present your findings at the end of the term.
- Use software tools like SAP and Microsoft Office for daily tasks.
- Contribute to a safe, diverse, and inclusive workplace by following company values and safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary Business or Commerce program, with a major in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- You must be returning to school after the work term.
- Ability to accurately collect and enter large volumes of data.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the term from May to August 2027.
