About the role#
Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking a Safety Intern to join the Safety Service Unit within the Project Delivery and Technical Excellence Division. This 16-month internship is based in Calgary and reports to the Director of Process Safety. You will contribute to enterprise-wide occupational health, safety, and emergency management programs while supporting the Zero by Choice safety culture.
What you'll do#
- Provide end-to-end process safety support by leading safety data analytics and KPIs.
- Manage and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Deliver process safety engineering support to operations and drive improvements in safety systems, standards, and digital workflows.
- Utilize tools including Microsoft Office, Copilot, ChatGPT, RPA, PowerBI, and MS Power Platform to support daily operations.
- Adhere to Pembina’s Life Saving Rules and demonstrate core values of being safe, trustworthy, respectful, collaborative, and entrepreneurial.
- Contribute to an equitable and inclusive workplace by working effectively with team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical or Mechanical engineering program, with 3rd year completed by May 2026.
- Commitment to return to school following the conclusion of the work term.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the 16-month term.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the field for multiple-day trips.
- Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a structured environment.
