About the role#
The Land Intern joins the Land Department within External Affairs at our Calgary office. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting land operations, capital projects, and data management initiatives. You will work directly with experienced land professionals to support day-to-day business activities and process improvements. This is a 4-month contract position.
What you'll do#
- Support land operations, A&D, and capital projects through scanning and filing of land records.
- Perform land data analysis and clean up.
- Update SharePoint sites and stakeholder information.
- Assist land agents with documentation.
- Use tools such as Microsoft Office, SAP, and other internal systems.
- Complete a project and present your outcomes or learnings at the end of the term.
- Support the company safety culture of Zero by Choice and follow all Life Saving Rules.
- Demonstrate company values of being safe, trustworthy, respectful, collaborative, and entrepreneurial.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with plans to return to school after the term.
- A field of study that aligns with or provides transferable skills for land operations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a desire to learn in a structured environment.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the term.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- SAP knowledge is considered an asset.
