PMO & Cyber Security Awareness Intern

About the role#

The PMO & Cyber Security Awareness Intern will join the Information Services Unit in Calgary. This role focuses on supporting project governance, compliance reporting, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including the coordination of phishing campaigns. You will also utilize AI tools to assist in process automation and contribute to improving the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture.

What you'll do#

• Prepare summary reports by collecting, validating, and synthesizing project data.
• Develop presentations and briefing materials for leadership and governance forums.
• Support the tracking and updating of annual Risk Assessments and IT compliance activities.
• Manage the lifecycle of governance documents and the Operational Excellence Management System.
• Utilize tools including SAP, Microsoft Office, and AI platforms like Copilot/ChatGPT to support daily team functions.
• Adhere to the 'Zero by Choice' safety culture and follow all Life Saving Rules.
• Contribute to an equitable and inclusive workplace by working effectively and respectfully with others.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a plan to return to school following the term.
• A field of study that provides relevant transferable skills for the role.
• Ability to commit to the full 4-month duration of the Summer 2026 term.
• Demonstrated reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a structured environment.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
