About the role#
The PMO & Cyber Security Awareness Intern will join the Information Services Unit at our Calgary office. This role supports project governance, compliance, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including phishing campaigns and reporting. You will work under the Manager of PMO & Governance to improve project visibility and the company's cybersecurity posture while using AI tools to automate team processes.
What you'll do#
- Prepare summary reports by collecting, validating, and synthesizing project data.
- Create presentations and briefing materials for leadership and governance forums.
- Update reports, annual Risk Assessments, and IT compliance activities.
- Manage the lifecycle of governance documents and the Operational Excellence Management System.
- Use tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, and AI platforms like Copilot or ChatGPT for daily tasks.
- Support the Zero by Choice safety culture by following all Life Saving Rules.
- Work effectively with others to contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Intent to return to school following the end of the work term.
- A field of study that provides relevant transferable skills.
- Ability to commit to the full 4-month term.
- Reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a structured environment.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
