About the role#
This is a summer internship designed to provide experiential training and a foundation of knowledge in land negotiation. You will work closely with an experienced mentor, complete an assigned project, and take on various responsibilities to contribute to the team. You will interact with internal departments like engineering, geology, marketing, and accounting to support strategic land base development.
What you'll do#
- Learn about North American land systems.
- Build a land library of legal contracts and references.
- Research solutions to a variety of operational issues.
- Research competitor ownership of surrounding leases.
- Analyze the implications of new government rules or court cases and communicate their impact to the organization.
- Obtain necessary permits, applications, title opinions, and approvals for well development.
What you'll need#
- Legal eligibility to work in the country of placement without sponsorship.
- Current enrollment as a full-time student through December 2027.
- Availability for the full program duration from May 17 to August 5, 2027.
- Enrollment in an Energy and Professional Land Management or equivalent program is preferred.

- Compensation: $31.56 - $43.70 per hour, determined by year in school.
