About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within a food manufacturing environment. You will work on projects focused on process improvement, such as increasing yield and reducing waste. You will gain insight into how a food production line operates and present your final project findings to the corporate management team.
What you'll do#
- Collect, document, and transfer test results from external sources to internal systems.
- Perform data collection and trend quality metrics.
- Draft, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in developing, updating, and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
- Log incoming raw materials into a database daily.
- Perform sample preparation testing.
- Learn and apply auditing standards and techniques.
- Analyze audit data to identify trends and summarize results in reports.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and work groups.
- Prepare and deliver a final presentation on project results to corporate management.
What you'll need#

- Physical requirements: You will work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures. You must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds. You will also use standard office equipment.
