About the role#
This internship offers a chance to learn how a food manufacturing line operates. You will work on projects based on current business needs, such as process improvements to reduce waste or increase yield. At the end of the term, you will prepare a presentation on your project results for the corporate management team.
What you'll do#
- Collect, review, and transfer test results from external sources to internal documentation.
- Perform data collection, trend quality metrics, and share your findings.
- Draft, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in developing and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
- Log incoming raw materials into a database daily.
- Conduct sample preparation testing.
- Learn and apply auditing principles and techniques.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and work groups.
What you'll need#
- Ability to analyze audit data to identify trends.
- Ability to summarize reports with recommendations for management.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to use hands or fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
