About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Bradenton, Florida. You will join our engineering team to design electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles. This role is on-site and requires a commitment to working in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics using computer aided design software.
- Create Bills of Material (BOM) for new and revised designs.
- Select materials for engineered parts.
- Prepare engineering change notices (ECN).
- Support manufacturing operations by providing technical direction on electrical and multiplexing questions.
- Consult with suppliers and ensure designs meet drafting standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
