About the role#
This is a hands-on internship focused on mechanical support for manufacturing programs. You will work directly on the plant floor, leading projects related to operations improvements and new equipment implementation. You will provide technical support to skilled trades and maintenance personnel while gaining experience in a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform mechanical root cause analysis and solve technical problems.
- Analyze products, processes, and technology to determine efficient manufacturing methods.
- Assist in the design and construction of tools and equipment or suggest process improvements.
- Support maintenance personnel with the operation and repair of specialized equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate machinery upgrade projects.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds, climbing ladders or lifts, and driving site vehicles.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics.
- Expected graduation date between August 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in a plant environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- A focus on innovation and customer-centric thinking.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
