About the role#
Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is looking for an Autonomy Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on real-world projects and gain hands-on experience with autonomous systems by collaborating with experienced engineers and researchers.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and implementation of autonomous navigation, perception, or control algorithms.
- Analyze and interpret data from sensors and other sources to improve system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate autonomy solutions into various platforms.
- Document and present findings and progress to the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field. BS candidates with relevant coursework, project experience, or demonstrated technical skills will be considered.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Experience with ROS1 or ROS2 and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with autonomous systems through research, coursework, projects, competitions, or previous internships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in New Hudson, Michigan.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional night or weekend work for project support.
