About the role#
This internship within the Total Fund Management department offers direct exposure to global markets. You will work on the trading floor alongside experienced investment professionals and recent graduates. The Global Trading team manages execution across all asset groups and regions, focusing on market liquidity and efficient transaction processing. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Gain experience across equities, commodities, fixed income, and FX in global markets.
- Collaborate with traders on the trading floor to solve problems in real-time.
- Build tools that help traders negotiate transactions.
- Research and present findings on different market microstructures.
- Automate trading processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, trading strategies, and the global economy.
- Ability to interpret and analyze large financial datasets, economic indicators, and market trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate trading strategies and market views effectively.
