    About the role#

    This is a four-month internship within the Capital Markets department at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. You will join the Private Credit team, which focuses on direct credit investments globally and evaluates opportunities across the capital structure. The role provides exposure to the trading floor environment and involves working with a team of over 15 people on investment activities and research projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Monitor the ongoing performance of the portfolio.
    • Support reporting requirements for the team.
    • Work with junior team members to conduct investment analysis.
    • Develop investment theses and memos for the underwriting committee.
    • Participate in a term-length portfolio management case to develop investment skills.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate program or a related Masters program.
    • Must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning to studies after the work term.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated academic excellence and a clear interest in financial markets.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
    • Term: May 2027 to August 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $30 - $34 per hour, depending on experience.
    • Employment type: Full-time contract.
