About the role#
NXP is hiring an Equipment Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, 12-week on-site position based at the Austin Technology and Manufacturing Center. You will work directly with the Equipment Engineering team to gain experience in semiconductor manufacturing and maintenance processes.
What you'll do#
- Lead a specific technical project within the Equipment Engineering team that fits within the three-month timeframe.
- Gain practical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, the fab environment, and the day-to-day responsibilities of an equipment engineer.
- Present your project results, findings, and the impact of your work to senior management at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with the construction, repair, or maintenance of electromechanical systems.
- You must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
