About the role#
Nucor Corporation is hiring a Supply Chain Strategy Intern to join the Brokerage Division of The David J. Joseph Company for the summer of 2026. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship based in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will work alongside experienced analysts to gain exposure to scrap and steel commodity markets, macroeconomic trends, and data analysis. You will also have the opportunity to network with department leaders and professionals across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Work with experienced analysts to understand commodity markets and their interaction with macroeconomic trends.
- Complete assigned projects, including price or volume forecasting and basic statistical analysis.
- Lead a summer-long project to improve a business process or uncover a data-driven story that adds value to the organization.
- Participate in group meetings and tasks as assigned.
- Uphold safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student majoring in economics, statistics, business administration, finance, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Project R, Python, SQL, or Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a willingness to ask questions and persist through challenges.
