About the role#
As an RF Engineer Intern at Nsight, you will help design and optimize wireless systems. You will work on site selection, spectrum management, and performance monitoring to ensure high-quality cellular service.
What you'll do#
- Assist in site selection, tower height evaluation, antenna selection, and output power levels for cellular telephony.
- Evaluate spectrum utilization at each site and its impact on the system.
- Conduct drive tests and analyze drive test data and E911 data.
- Monitor and trend current system performance, assisting with changes to improve performance.
- Assist cell site technicians in the turn-up of new sites and record initial performance benchmarks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
- General knowledge of spectrum or network analysis and test equipment.
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, Word, Excel, and the Internet.
- An understanding of basic cellular theory and technologies.
