About the role#
This internship is a hands-on position based in a cleanroom environment. You will support the development and optimization of semiconductor manufacturing processes while working alongside senior process engineers, technicians, and operators.
What you'll do#
- Design and run experiments to develop or improve semiconductor and thin-film fabrication methods.
- Operate semiconductor tools, including deposition systems, etch systems, lithography equipment, and metrology tools.
- Analyze data to make process decisions and achieve desired outcomes.
- Summarize and present your findings to the team.
- Perform tasks in a controlled cleanroom while handling wafers and sensitive equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, processes, and test results.
- Ensure process compatibility and quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Foundational knowledge of semiconductor processing methods, including thin-film deposition, dry etch, lithography, and metrology.
- Ability to apply classroom learning through projects, laboratory work, research, or other relevant experience.
- Availability for the full internship period.
- Prior cleanroom experience and familiarity with wafer fabrication tools are valued.
