About the role#
As a Fleet Reliability Intern, you will design, build, and deploy hardware for our global ground station network. You will work directly with physical hardware, making decisions that affect our operations. We are looking for a versatile candidate who can act as a mechanical engineer, electrical systems engineer, and builder. You will partner with internal teams and external companies to complete projects on a tight timeline.
What you'll do#
- Own a ground station hardware project from inception through design, production, and field deployment.
- Build complex ground support equipment, wire harnesses, and test setups.
- Support critical site operations for ground stations located around the world.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and solve hardware issues with urgency.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to finish projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor or graduate program for electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Ability to work in a professional team environment, including communication with engineers, management, and technicians.
- Prior experience designing, building, and testing complex electrical and mechanical systems is preferred.
