About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineer Interns for our Space Systems Sector in Azusa, California. You will join the Western Region Systems Engineering directorate to support technical planning and system integration efforts. This internship is a full-time position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
- Analyze system products across the entire lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Convert customer and product requirements into total systems solutions while acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a STEM field, specifically Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
