About the role#
We are looking for a Software Development Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, 10-week paid position based in Irving, Texas. You will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to real-world software projects, gain industry experience, and develop your technical skills. The program includes networking opportunities, access to executives, and structured coaching.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior developers and product managers to understand project requirements and contribute to technical design discussions.
- Write, test, and debug clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications, features, and tools.
- Participate in code reviews to provide feedback and learn from your peers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Learn and apply new technologies, development methodologies, and best practices.
- Engage in team meetings, stand-ups, and other collaborative activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- An expected graduation date of Fall 2027, Spring 2028, Fall 2028, or Spring 2029.
- A solid understanding of fundamental computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language like C#, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
