About the role#
This summer internship supports the MAPS System Design Engineering and Quality teams. You will contribute to simulation modeling, design validation, and AI-enabled process improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, 10-week paid program based in Irving, Texas. You will receive mentorship, access to executives, and training from subject matter experts.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Simio modeling and simulation activities.
- Support the analysis of automation system performance and design alternatives.
- Participate in requirements validation, testing, and quality assurance tasks.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and process improvements.
- Evaluate ways to apply AI and automation to engineering and quality workflows.
- Create dashboards, documentation, and presentations to support team decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- An analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
- Experience with data analysis tools, modeling, or simulation software.
- A genuine interest in automation, operations, and AI technologies.
