About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern to join the Western Region Systems Engineering directorate in Gilbert, Arizona. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site for at least 10 weeks, contributing to technical planning and system integration for space systems.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation.
- Conduct cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses.
- Analyze systems across all product levels, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications through functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and interface definition.
- Ensure the systematic conversion of product requirements into solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university, with plans to be enrolled in Fall 2027.
- A major in a STEM field, specifically Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
