About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring a Systems Engineer Intern for the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability Division in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This is a full-time summer 2027 internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Create and refine Model Based System Engineering products.
- Trace requirements to test plans, procedures, and results to track program progress and identify gaps.
- Update and maintain system drawings and documents.
- Evaluate complex electronics systems from hardware and software design through aircraft installation.
- Execute integration test activities in System Integration Labs.
- Analyze and model data to support algorithm development and optimization.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- You must be enrolled full-time for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A current, active U.S. Government Secret clearance is preferred.
