About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring a Hardware Mechanical Engineer Intern for our Mission Systems sector in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. You will join the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability Division. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic equipment and systems.
- Work on products including circuitry components, sensors, antennas, transmitters, receivers, and computers.
What you'll need#
- You must be a U.S. citizen to meet security clearance requirements.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- You must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- You must remain enrolled as a full-time student in Fall 2027.
- You must be available to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- Candidates with a current, active U.S. Government Secret clearance are preferred.
