About the role#
This internship position is with the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Clearfield, Utah. You will contribute to technical projects involving component design, tool development, and mechanical analysis. This role involves daily interaction with government customers to ensure project requirements and schedules are maintained.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to new component and tool design, requirements definition, and repair processes.
- Perform component research, system level analysis, detailed trade studies, and data analytics.
- Develop mechanical integration approaches based on specific instructions.
- Learn and apply USAF processes, procedures, and requirements.
- Coordinate with government customers to meet project expectations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).
- A cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- An active Secret Security Clearance or higher is preferred.
