About the role#
Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer Co-Op to join our engineering team. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in software controls and technical development while contributing to the design and evaluation of our electric motor and integrated control solutions.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the testing and verification of PC-based and embedded software.
- Develop PC-based software for both internal development groups and external use.
- Perform tests and measurements on various electronic controls and motors.
- Assemble prototypes and samples for engineering projects.
- Support engineers with the purchasing of electronic components, test equipment, and mechanical parts.
- Assist with electronic lab activities, including test equipment calibration and maintaining lab cleanliness.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for software engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
- Ability to commit to 25-29 hours of work per week while attending school.
