About the role#

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer Co-Op to join our engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in software controls, technical development, and product evaluation within the electric motor and integrated controls industry.

What you'll do#

Assist in the testing and verification of both PC-based and embedded software.
Develop PC-based software for both in-house development and external use.
Conduct tests and measurements on a variety of electronic controls and motors.
Assist with the assembly of prototypes and samples.
Support engineers with the procurement of electronic components, test equipment, and mechanical parts.
Support electronic lab activities, including equipment calibration and maintaining lab cleanliness.

What you'll need#

Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Ability to commit to 25-29 hours of work per week while attending school.

Location: St. Louis, Missouri.
Term: Summer 2026.
Work Modality: On-site.
Employment Type: Paid, part-time co-op.
