About the role#
KEB America is hiring a Software Design Engineer Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work directly with our Software Engineering team in Shakopee, Minnesota. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will gain hands-on experience by contributing to real projects within our Engineering Department.
What you'll do#
- Test and verify software functionality.
- Develop and test new validation software based on provided specifications.
- Create documentation and models for new software functions.
- Modify and refactor existing code.
- Trace code execution to identify and confirm specific functionality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Practical experience with C and Python programming.
- Familiarity with embedded system design.
- Experience using file repositories like Git.

- This position is located on-site in Shakopee, Minnesota.
- The internship takes place during the summer of 2027.
- Compensation starts at $25 per hour.
