About the role#
The Engineering Co-op position at the Ft. Smith, Arkansas site supports engineering objectives while providing hands-on experience in motor design, documentation, and manufacturing support. This role involves cross-functional collaboration and exposure to industry-standard engineering practices.
What you'll do#
- Create and modify engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Review industry standards to ensure compliance.
- Create and modify bills of materials (BOMs) and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with various business functions to support quality and process improvement initiatives.
- Work with leadership to expedite documentation changes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering program.
- An associate degree in an applied science or engineering field is desired, or at least 60 hours of technical education.
- Five or more years of electric motor manufacturing experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
