About the role#
This Engineering Co-op position supports the Ft. Smith, Arkansas site by providing hands-on experience in motor design, documentation, and manufacturing support. You will work closely with leaders on engineering objectives and gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and industry-standard engineering practices.
What you'll do#
- Create and modify engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Review industry standards to ensure product requirements and compliance.
- Create and modify bills of materials (BOMs) and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with various business functions to support quality and process improvement initiatives.
- Work with leadership to expedite documentation changes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering).
- An associate degree in an applied science or engineering field, or at least 60 hours of technical education, is desired.
- Five or more years of experience in electric motor manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
