About the role#
This Engineering Co-op position supports the Ft. Smith, Arkansas site by assisting with motor design, documentation, and manufacturing tasks. You will gain hands-on experience by working on real engineering projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Create and modify technical drawings.
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Review industry standards to ensure compliance.
- Create and update bills of materials and other necessary documentation.
- Work with leadership to expedite documentation changes.
- Collaborate across the business to support quality and process improvement.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
- An Associate degree in an applied science or engineering field is desired, or at least 60 hours of technical education.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Five or more years of experience in electric motor manufacturing is preferred.
