About the role#
This Electrical Engineering Co-op position supports our Fort Smith, Arkansas team. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, and test electric motor products. This role provides hands-on experience with motor design, performance testing, and manufacturing support while you contribute to active engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, components, and electric motor products.
- Support engineering research and analysis to ensure designs are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Create, modify, and review technical drawings, specifications, Bills of Material, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Assist with testing, data collection, and performance evaluation of electrical systems and components.
- Support compliance activities by reviewing industry standards and customer specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward your degree.
- A basic understanding of electrical circuits, power systems, electromagnetics, or electric machines.
- The ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
