Co-Op Custom Design Marketing

About the role#

The Custom Design Marketing (CDM) Co-Op supports the industrial motor division by bridging the gap between engineering specifications and commercial product offerings. This role provides exposure to the full lifecycle of product management, marketing, and sales, focusing on NEMA frame and above-NEMA industrial motors.

What you'll do#

• Assist the CDM team with technical reviews of consulting engineer specifications to ensure alignment with product offerings.
• Perform cost analysis for new and existing products and assist in updating pricing.
• Research, monitor, and post projects for the Sales and CDM teams.
• Support data collection for market analysis based on quotes and orders.
• Document quoting processes by creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Help manage document control and the organization of shared technical drives.
• Assist in the development of tools to identify motor types (Stock, Conversion, or ETO) and create guides comparing NEMA and IEC motor standards.
• Gather and categorize "Voice of the Customer" feedback to improve quoting and product offerings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to resolve issues and clarify specifications.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Entering the final two years of undergraduate studies.
• Strong analytical skills and technical inclination.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Prior co-op or internship experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical motor applications is preferred.
