About the role#
The Test Lab Engineer Co-op will support hardware development programs for HVAC and Commercial system applications. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in St. Louis, Missouri. The role involves working with a team to validate hardware, manage test parameters, and assist with lab operations.
What you'll do#
- Support hardware testing on development programs for HVAC and Commercial system applications.
- Interface with software and hardware design engineers to determine appropriate test parameters.
- Develop hardware validation samples for testing and customer evaluation.
- Assist engineers and technicians with various software and hardware tasks for the test labs.
- Assemble and modify electronic controls for testing and customer samples.
- Set up and perform testing on motor controls and related hardware.
- Document testing and test results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for Electrical Engineering with Junior status.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Good hands-on skills, including soldering and mechanical assembly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-functional teams.
- Strong technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week during business hours.
