About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for students pursuing degrees in electrical or computer engineering. You will work on-site in Indianapolis, assisting our engineering team with project objectives and departmental goals. You will report to experienced engineers and receive guidance on complex tasks while building your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the engineering design process and attend design reviews.
- Help design and evaluate sensors and IoT technologies for new products.
- Build and test prototypes, then analyze the resulting data to assess performance.
- Learn and apply best practices for PCB design and layout.
- Provide written input for project reports based on your assigned tasks.
- Support the testing process through review and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program for electrical or computer engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year before the start of the program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership ability.
- Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to multitask and work as a self-motivated team player.
- Preferred experience includes circuit design projects, previous internships, or proficiency in Python, C, Altium Designer, Spice, Labworks, IoT, and SolidWorks.
