About the role#
Ultralife Corporation is hiring an Electrical Engineer Co-Op for the Winter 2027 term. You will join the Engineering Design and Development team to help test and transition new products into manufacturing. This role involves work on battery, portable power, and hybrid systems for military, medical, and commercial markets. You will work alongside experienced engineers to prioritize tasks and gain technical oversight.
What you'll do#
- Test and troubleshoot new prototype systems and devices.
- Perform root cause analysis on product failures.
- Utilize laboratory equipment to conduct design validation testing.
- Assemble prototype designs and complete small scale initial builds.
- Design and build custom electrical testing apparatus.
- Generate detailed reports regarding testing and observations.
- Create work instructions for new products to assist the transition to manufacturing.
- Document all completed testing procedures.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years of Electrical Engineering course work in Circuit Basics.
- Good academic standing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Submission of a transcript or proof of relevant job experience.
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
- Experience in Python is a plus.
