    About the role#

    ARA is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our team in Baton Rouge. You will work with other developers and engineers to build products for a diverse range of clients. This position involves working in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software. Interns are valued team members who contribute to work that is critical to our project success.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, develop, and debug applications using C#, Java, or JavaScript.
    • Build graphical user interfaces and implement responsive web designs.
    • Work with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
    • Perform code analysis and reviews.
    • Conduct unit testing and document software functionality.
    • Provide software support after release.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
    • Knowledge of agile development methods, C#, Java, or JavaScript.
    • Ability to work well in small team settings.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
    • Experience with AWS services.
    • U.S. citizenship is required due to our work with the defense community.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
    • This is a paid, part-time internship.
    • Work is on-site.
    • Hours are up to 40 hours per week during the summer and 20 to 30 hours per week during the school year, depending on available work.
