About the role#
ARA is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Intern to join our team in Baton Rouge. You will work alongside developers and engineers to design and implement quality assurance solutions for enterprise technologies that support Navy and military operations. This role involves working in an agile environment to deliver software to our clients. Interns are expected to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer and 20 to 30 hours per week during the school year.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute manual and automated testing.
- Define testing visions and plans based on stakeholder goals and customer feedback.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create test cases.
- Support code reviews and ensure the team creates adequate unit, regression, and system tests.
- Identify, record, and document findings and create reports.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Knowledge or relevant coursework in agile development methods.
- Knowledge or relevant coursework in C#, Java, or JavaScript.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in small team settings.
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience with C#.
- Experience with frontend libraries such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Familiarity with automating QA processes using CI/CD platforms like GitLab.

- This position is based on-site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
