About the role#
This Business Co-Op position provides experience with the mechanics of creating purchase orders for the indirect supply base. You will assist the Global Supply Management team with data validation, report generation, and system operations. This role is a paid, full-time opportunity based on-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Review and verify purchase orders daily before they go to suppliers.
- Create, distribute, and review daily purchase order reports.
- Approve purchase orders within the system and create PO requisitions.
- Populate and verify key data in Nexteer operating systems.
- Maintain files for purchase orders and related documentation.
- Prepare monthly commodity charts.
- Assist with special projects within the Global Supply Management department.
- Communicate with the commercial team to ensure process compliance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors program for Business Administration or a related field at a 4-year university local to Auburn Hills.
- Current full-time student status with at least 12 credits during Fall and Winter semesters.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to work 20 to 32 hours per week during Fall and Winter semesters and up to 40 hours in the summer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
