About the role#
WPHL-TV/CW is looking for an intern to support the Positively Philly lifestyle program and the creative services team. You will learn the fundamentals of broadcast marketing and how it shapes the station brand. This internship provides hands-on experience with daily live production, on-air promotions, and commercial work.
What you'll do#
- Write and produce at least one promotional spot for PHL17.
- Assist with writing and producing broadcast television promotional and commercial spots.
- Help with digital marketing tasks across websites and social media.
- Research and gather story ideas for Positively Philly.
- Greet studio guests for the show.
- Assist in staging and managing off-site promotional events.
- Shadow producers to learn how they create and assemble spots.
- Write voice-over copy for talent.
What you'll need#
- A collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
- Some knowledge of Adobe programs like Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Familiarity with DSLR or ENG cameras.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
