About the role#
Nexstar Media Group offers internships for students studying broadcast journalism, video production, and other communication degrees. Interns work 16 hours per week over a 15-week term. You will receive supervision throughout the program and complete a written evaluation at the end of your internship. Placements may include departments such as News, Creative Services, Production, and Community Development.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a meaningful learning experience.
- Operate equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Conduct telephone and face-to-face discussions.
- Use electronic mail and write letters or memos.
- Make independent decisions that impact your work and the results of your co-workers.
- Work in various environments including outdoors in all weather conditions and indoors with varying lighting.
What you'll need#
- You must be a senior in your final year of study.
- An advanced skill level to handle complex projects.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
