About the role#
The Decider Features Intern role offers hands-on editorial experience within the New York Post Digital Network. This position focuses on streaming entertainment, movies, and pop culture. Interns will work 24 hours per week as part of the editorial team, gaining exposure to digital reporting and content creation.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research for articles, lists, reports, and deep dives.
- Gather and edit digital assets including images, screencaps, GIFs, and videos.
- Participate in content planning meetings and pitch ideas for articles, galleries, and social media campaigns.
- Execute approved content on Decider.com and social media channels.
- Assist staff in covering entertainment, streaming, and pop culture news.
- Write and report weekly stories, including SEO-driven articles and blog posts.
What you'll need#
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Knowledge of WordPress.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Enrollment as a junior or senior pursuing a BA, status as an MA student, or recent graduation within the past year.
- Backgrounds in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or Marketing are preferred.
