About the role#
The NEON General Internship Program offers students a chance to learn how independent film works from the inside. This program focuses on real work that supports our distribution, marketing, publicity, sales, and acquisitions projects. You will work alongside industry veterans who provide mentorship and guidance throughout the term. This is a paid, part-time, on-site role for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects across distribution, marketing, publicity, sales, and acquisitions.
- Participate in structured programming and professional development sessions.
- Gain cross-functional exposure by working with different teams across the company.
- Collaborate with a cohort of fellow interns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Majors in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Business Administration.
- Genuine interest in film and entertainment.
- Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
- Comfort with social media platforms and familiarity with the creator landscape.
- A proactive, low-ego, and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Prior experience in film or entertainment is a plus.
Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site in either New York, NY, or Los Angeles, CA.
- The program runs from January 11, 2027, to May 21, 2027.
- Interns must be available to work on-site 3 days per week.
- This position is paid at an hourly rate of $18.50.
- We do not provide relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
