About the role#
NEON is looking for a Global PR & Marketing Intern to support our upcoming film releases. This role provides hands-on experience in entertainment marketing, publicity, and communications. You will work directly with our teams to help bring independent films to audiences. This is a paid, part-time position based in our New York City office.
What you'll do#
- Support the marketing and PR teams on campaigns for upcoming film releases.
- Create social media content by brainstorming ideas, drafting captions, and sourcing assets.
- Track press coverage, audience engagement, and campaign performance.
- Research trends, talent, audiences, and comparable film titles.
- Assist with influencer and community outreach to build buzz.
- Contribute ideas for creative activations, events, and promotional opportunities.
- Keep project trackers, calendars, and shared materials organized.
- Collaborate with team members across different departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university.
- Strong interest in film, publicity, marketing, talent relations, and independent cinema.
- Proficiency with Photoshop and Premiere.
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and comfort working with press clippings.
- Familiarity with Cision or Muck Rack is a plus.
- Solid writing and communication skills, including the ability to draft emails and press materials.
- Strong research and analytical skills with a focus on audience behavior and cultural trends.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proactive and resourceful attitude.
- Prior internship experience in marketing, communications, PR, social media, or event support is preferred.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4, 2027, to May 21, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site, three full days per week.
- Majors: Marketing, Communications, or Media Studies.
- Compensation: $18.50 per hour.
